The Giant Panda Forest at the Adelaide Zoo, designed by HASSELL, is the first Giant Panda exhibit in the southern hemisphere. The pandas from Wolong in China, Wang Wang and Funi, arrived in Adelaide on 27 November 2009 and will live in the state-of-the-art enclosure. The exhibit will be formally opened on 13 December 2009, when they will go on public display for the first time, though they will remain in quarantine until early next year.
