Queensland Design on Show (QDOS) is the voice of design excellence recognition in Queensland, presented by the Design Institute of Australia, Queensland Branch.

The HASSELL Brisbane Studio has again been recognised with multiple awards, winning the overall Design Excellence Award for Interior Design – the highest honour, and Gold Awards for Corporate Design and Built Environment Collaboration. The interior design jury described the project as ”an innovative refurbishment of an existing building to create a campus style environment that facilitates a collaborative studio environment.”

HATCH Workplace has also been recognised with the Gold Award for Best Use of Colour and Silver Awards in the Corporate Design and Best Use of Lighting categories. The jury citations note the project has “a restrained yet sophisticated use of colour that creates a soothing work environment, a dynamic and sophisticated example of future business work environment and an innovative response to lighting a workspace, as well as making all the issues with being energy efficient the office lighting offered a sense of visual comfort throughout the space.”
