Melbourne’s Central City Studios are Australia’s newest and most technologically advanced film and television studios, and are the result of a complex architectural achievement.
The project’s joint venture Architectural team, HASSELL Francis, has applied a style and philosophy to the project that is based on precedents of leading industrial architecture worldwide. The studios strongly depict their function, but also respond to the commercial aesthetic of the adjoining precincts, by using form, materials, colour, graphics, signage and landscape elements that add to and enhance the variety of visual signifiers that make Melbourne’s Docklands unique.
