OZBUILD 2008: Building A Sustainable Future

HASSELL was a major sponsor of the recent OZBuild 2008 Seminar and Showcase in Bangkok. It was the first Australian construction seminar and exhibition focusing on green sustainable building products, technologies and design in Thailand and was attended by over 200 guests from the Thailand construction sector.

The seminar featured experienced Thai-based consultants and industry representatives including Professor Soontorn Boonyatikarn, who delivered a presentation on ''Clean And Green Design Solutions For The Future''. Professor Soontorn referred to the work HASSELL did on Sydney's Olympic Park Station and was very supportive of Australian efforts in creating sustainable communities.

Andy Sharp, Managing Principal of the HASSELL Perth studio, followed with his presentation on the widely successful "11 Studios in Eleven Cities - Propositions for 2030", which was extremely well received and recognised for its impressive research
