ANZ embraces Green Office Building

HASSELL HASSELL has been appointed to provide fully integrated Interior Design and Architecture services for ANZ's new workplace at 833 Collins Street, Docklands, Melbourne Victoria. This is the largest and greenest office building currently under construction in Australia with an area of approximately 83,550sqm and will be home to over 6,500 staff. Working with ANZ, the Architecture will be provided in collaboration with Bovis Lend Lease. The resulting design will support ANZ's progressive culture and values, and environmental aspirations. The project is due for completion in late 2009.

HASSELL is accustomed to working on some of Australia’s largest corporate projects with the design of Westpac Place (in collaboration with Geyer and DEGW) and Optus SingTel both in Sydney. The new Westpac workplace is 74,000sqm and caters for a 5,000 strong population with the design concept being formulated around the metaphor of the Vertical City: an urban paradigm. The new national headquarters of Optus SingTel is an 84,000sqm workplace that will see the consolidation of 10 separate sites into one. The outcome will be a new integrated home for more then 7,000 staff in a campus style facility
