The Heidelberg campus of the Northern Metropolitan Institute of TAFE was developed as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Building Industries Training Centre. The Centre provides, on one site, articulated programme delivery for manufacturing, advanced manufacturing for high-tech industries, engineering, electrical and electronics, and building construction programmes. The design intent aims to develop a family of related structures exhibiting a high degree of transparency; to admit light for the occupants and to showcase the workings of the technical programmes within. |
