Regional Creative Centre Bangkok is a Class A laboratory and Design Studio facility for Quest International prior to their merger with Givuadan, providing a workplace of approximately 1,000 sq.m. to accommodate perfumers, assessors and support staff. A neutral colour palette was selected for general spaces and furniture employing accent elements such as an astroturf rug and parquet lined resource area to signify the ”ligne de force” – the fourteen families of scent used by perfumers to charactarise smells. The organ room where raw ingredients are combined to produce perfumes is enclosed with glass walls lined with perfume bottles and is central to the design. An open ceiling with exposed services was employed in the workplace to create a spacious studio environment.
