DST International has been a strategic and multiple-repeat client after HASSELL originally secured their 800sqm co-location project in early 2003. With DST International’s recent exponential growth, a 8,400sqm workplace space and relocation to a new building was necessary. HASSELL recognised the opportunity this presented and tapped the new directions for workspace design being developed in Australia; and by working collaboratively with some of the HASSELL senior corporate designers there, produced a concept that was awarded on its design merit alone. The resultant design was a departure from conventional workplace layout and geometry utilising strong colour references from the DST International logo across all occupied floors. The corporate workspaces are supported by a shared reception, meeting room and multi-function internal/external staff facility on Level 6 which incorporates a fully landscaped and sheltered podium balcony area.
